Concord, NH - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding Senator Maggie Hassan’s vote against an Amendment that would bar convicted felons currently in prison, like cop-killer Michael Addison, from receiving $1400 stimulus checks:

“Senator Maggie Hassan is more committed to the financial stability of criminals than her own constituents,” said NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek. “On March 6th the Senate voted on a measure to prevent convicted felons currently in prison from receiving stimulus checks during the next round of COVID-19 relief. While every Republican Senator voted for the amendment, every Democrat U.S. Senator including Maggie Hassan voted against the amendment, in favor of providing economic assistance to individuals behind bars - including New Hampshire Cop-killer Michael Addison.”

“Senator Hassan should refocus her financial efforts back home to New Hampshire, where Granite Staters are poised to receive a disappointing $233 million less than we would have under the previous COVID-19 relief formula.”

Concord, NH - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement after Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen voted to pass a bloated $1.9 Trillion spending package:

“Maggie Hassan, Jeanne Shaheen, and the Democrat Senate Majority just betrayed the people of New Hampshire in order to support New York, New Jersey, and Californian special interests. This so-called “America Rescue Act” puts America further in debt, spends a fraction of its allocation on actual COVID relief, and alters the formula to punish states that reopened safely and effectively. Hassan has been an abject failure in the United States Senate, has routinely disappointed Granite Staters on issue after issue, and has gone to great lengths to disregard New Hampshire’s values and advance the priorities of far-Left and out-of-touch priorities of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Kamala Harris. The key to a Republican Majority in the United States Senate runs right through New Hampshire in 2022 and we will elect a Republican who believes in our New Hampshire Advantage to restore sanity and provide a critical check on the disastrous Biden-Harris agenda.”

2020 Regional Field Director excited to get to work in new role at NHGOP

Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Republican State Committee released the following statement announcing the hiring of DJ Burke as the NHGOP's Finance Director:

“I am very excited to announce DJ Burke is joining our NHGOP Team as our Finance Director,” said NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek. “DJ was a phenomenal Regional Field Director for the Trump Victory Operation in 2020 and prior to his work in politics he worked in Finance. DJ’s skillset and commitment to New Hampshire’s Live Free or Die spirit are great additions to our New Hampshire Republican Party; after setting records in 2020 we are excited to work to raise even more money in 2022.”

"I’m excited for the opportunity to work with Chairman Stepanek, Vice Chair Pamela Tucker, Executive Director Joe Sweeney and the entire NHGOP team to support Republicans across the state of New Hampshire," said NHGOP Finance Director DJ Burke. "I am eager to build off the successes of the 2020 election cycle and support the efforts of Governor Chris Sununu, Senate President Morse, and Speaker Sherm Packard and their respective teams to make sure New Hampshire Republicans have the resources to win. After helping to elect candidates that flipped both the New Hampshire House and Senate red as a Field Director in 2020, I’m setting my sights on electing even more Republicans in 2022 while sending new representatives down to D.C., who will fight for the people of New Hampshire. I look forward to holding New Hampshire Democrats accountable, and electing New Hampshire Republicans as the new NHGOP Finance Director."
