Concord, NH - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding positive education news coming from Governor Chris Sununu and the Republican majority on the Executive Council:

“Today is a great day for Granite State students and their families. The Executive Council confirmed Ryan Terrell to the New Hampshire Board of Education, bringing a fresh perspective and spirit to the board - thank you to Councilors Kenney, Stevens, Gatsas, and Wheeler for rejecting the practice utilized by the past Democrat Council when they injected partisan politics into the confirmation process. Additionally, Governor Chris Sununu re-nominated Drew Cline to an additional term as Chair of the Board of Education and Frank Edelblut to another term as Commissioner of the Department of Education. Both Chairman Cline and Commissioner Edelblut have made significant strides in reforming education in New Hampshire and will continue to do so when confirmed again. With today’s actions along with efforts pursuing expansive education freedom legislation in the House and Senate, New Hampshire Republicans are putting students and families first.”
