Concord, NH - NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement after young Republican Sebastian Sharonov's victory in the Manchester Ward 6 Special Election:
“I want to congratulate Alderman-elect Sebastian Sharonov on his victory tonight in the Manchester Ward 6 Special Election," said NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek. "I know that Sebastian’s grassroots campaign and the Manchester GOP Chaired by Rep. Will Infantine organized and talked to the voters of Ward 6 and delivered this victory for Manchester taxpayers tonight. Mayor Joyce Craig endorsed and heavily campaigned for the other candidate tonight, and the results speak for themselves. Manchester taxpayers are tired of what they’re getting from Mayor Craig and the Manchester Democrats and they are ready to vote for change this November.”
This is the second New Hampshire Republican Special Election win in the last three weeks, after Republican Bill Boyd beat Democrat Wendy Thomas on April 13th in the Merrimack Special Election to replace late Speaker Dick Hinch in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
